Billing Assistant
Kforce has a client that is seeking an AR/Billing Assistant in Arlington, VA. Responsibilities:
- Manage the full cycle of accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation
- Prepare and submit invoices to government clients in compliance with contract terms and government regulations
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payment
- Maintain accurate records of all billing and collections activities
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes
- Generate and analyze AR aging reports to identify overdue accounts and take appropriate action
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to AR and billing
- Ensure compliance with company policies and government contracting requirements
- Provide excellent customer service to government clients and address any billing inquiries
- At least one year of experience in billing, accounting, or finance
- Costpoint or experience
- Knowledge of government billing regulations, FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) requirements, and related compliance standards
- Proficient in using standard Microsoft 365, including OneDrive, SharePoint, Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Professional certifications such as Certified Billing Specialist (CBS) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) are preferred
- Government contracting experience
