Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro Telemetry – Lubbock, TX 79410
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 91-day assignment. Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Floating between units may be required.
Highlights:
- Work in a 379-bed short-term acute care facility with Level II Trauma Center designation
- Join a 29-bed Neuro Telemetry unit with a daily census of 27 patients and comprehensive stroke center services
- Collaborate with dedicated mentors and interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, IV Teams, and Rapid Response Teams
- Gain experience with diverse neurological conditions including stroke, epilepsy monitoring, neurosurgical patients, and trauma
- Patient ratios: 1:4 during nights and days, 1:5 on weekends
- Utilize EPIC electronic health record system in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of MS/Telemetry nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and neurology patient populations preferred
- Trauma Level II experience preferred; community hospital experience preferred
- Skills required: peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
- Neurology-specific skills including CVA care, post-TPA care, seizure disorders, craniotomy care, and spinal cord injury management
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
