The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated Freight Associate to join our Shipping & Fulfillment team. This pivotal role, in partnership with other Freight Associates, is crucial to our e-commerce operations, ensuring that all outgoing freight is handled efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for coordinating the entire outbound freight process, from picking and packing to scheduling and loading. If you are a detail-oriented problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our growth.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and correctly load and unload freight trucks, including handling by drivers.
• Create and manage daily pick lists for outgoing freight
• Prepare outgoing freight for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation
• Schedule freight pickups with various carriers as needed
• Operate a forklift to move products efficiently within the warehouse.
• Perform inventory scans, including picking and transferring products to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Shipping support
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Expertise

• Proven experience in a warehouse or shipping environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at a high speed while maintaining quality
• Comfortable working with and around chemicals
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• A minimum of one year of freight experience
• Ability to follow instructions
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Forklift experience

Nice to have qualifications:

• Forklift certification
• Familiarity with inventory management systems
• Hazmat experience

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift/move up to 70 pounds.
• Frequently perform tasks requiring climbing, bending, crawling, kneeling, and crouching.
• Must wear required
• Steel toe work shoes with rubber soles
• Wear personal protective equipment when needed
• Must adhere to long periods of standing and walking.
• Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds safely.
• Must be able to use arms and hands for tasks such as reaching, signaling, grabbing, lifting, turning, pushing, and pulling.

Schedule & reporting details:

Full-time 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.

8-5 M-F
