ROLE IMPACT
As a core member of the Student Financial Services team, the Account Service Representative manages the full lifecycle of student account transactions, from receipting payments to issuing refunds. The role ensures accuracy in billing, reconciliations, and reporting, directly impacting institutional compliance and student satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Process and receipt student payments (cash, checks, electronic); balance cash drawer and prepare deposits
• Manage student account communications and assist with inquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Generate and distribute monthly loan statements; coordinate and process refunds
• Reconcile petty cash and submit receipts accurately
• Create and submit detailed reporting for internal departments and the General Manager
• Assist with collections, accounts receivable analysis, and third-party billing management
• Perform three-way matching for invoice and purchase order validation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of office administration or account services experience
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel
• Typing speed of at least 45 WPM

CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
• ERP or student information systems (e.g., Ellucian Colleague preferred)
• Electronic payment and refund platforms

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience in student accounts or higher education finance
• Familiarity with petty cash reconciliation and deposit workflows
• Exposure to accounts payable processes and vendor interactions
