Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year travel experience in high-risk OB L&D License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: NRP, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, BLS Must-Have: 1 year travel experience in high-risk OB L&D NRP Intermediate fetal monitoring ACLS BLS Description: The unit has 23 beds. Staffing consists of a CNC, RNs, CSTs, and a secretary for both day and night shifts. Day shift typically has 1 CNC, 6 RNs, 2 CSTs, and 1 secretary. Night shift typically has 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 1 CST, and 1 secretary. Patient ratios are 2:1. The unit utilizes EMR CPN/Meditech for documentation. There is an on-call requirement of 1 shift every 4 weeks. Floating within the department to postpartum/antepartum is required. Typical hiring profile seeks nurses with experience in high-risk OB care. Candidates must possess the following skills: - 1 year travel experience in high-risk OB L&D - NRP - Intermediate fetal monitoring - ACLS - BLS Preferred qualifications include OBED experience and high-risk/high-volume experience. Typical procedures performed include all high-risk OB care, magnesium drips, insulin drips, circulatory support, and surgical scrub roles.
