SALES REPRESENTATIVE
We’re looking for a hungry, motivated sales rep to help grow LOCALE in Texas by opening new accounts and getting our brand into the right doors. This role is ideal for someone who loves to sell. Someone who thrives on finding opportunities, closing deals, and building strong retail partnerships. You’ll be the face of LOCALE in your territory, representing our values of creativity, quality products, and the outdoors.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Open and own new retail accounts across Texas by identifying high-potential prospects and building relationships from scratch. Already have relationships in relevant accounts - even better!
- Leverage your network or industry knowledge to accelerate growth in surf, skate, outdoor lifestyle, resort, and boutique retail
- Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and product presentations to order writing and reorders
- Build and execute a territory-specific sales strategy with support from the internal team
- Maintain accurate records and pipeline activity in our CRM (we use HubSpot)
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customers receive top-tier support and products tailored to their needs.
- Sustain effective and positive working relationships to ensure an environment that is in alignment with both the Company’s Core Values and profitability goals.
- Provide regular product and market feedback to help shape future designs and offerings
- Represent LOCALE at trade shows, regional events, and industry gatherings
- Transport and present a full sample line to buyers (must be comfortable lifting and traveling with product bags up to 35 lbs.)
- Be an ambassador for the company, both internally and externally to help build confidence, pride and value in the company
- Work on special projects as needed
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- 3+ years of proven sales experience, ideally in apparel, headwear, or eyewear and accessories.
- Familiarity with the outdoor lifestyle spaces, especially in surf, skate, hiking, or tourism-driven retail
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A self-starter who can work independently, stay organized, and push for results
- Comfortable with CRM tools and basic digital workflows
- Illustrator/Adobe Creative Suite skills are a bonus. Candidates with these skills will be prioritized, but they’re not required
Position Type & Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and work hours are generally 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Longer hours, evenings and weekend work will be necessary as needed.
Travel: Frequent travel is required in your assigned territory and occasional U.S. travel outside your territory to attend trade shows and meetings.
