Principal Operating Systems Programmer
The Role

The Experience and Skill You Bring Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
8+ years of experience in z/OS systems programming and support.
Proven experience in supporting core z/OS operating systems, including system utilities.
Extensive experience with the installation and support of a wide range of ISV products, with in-depth knowledge of SMP/E.
Proficiency in coding JCL and REXX; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Experience with Parallel Sysplex and Coupling Facilities.
Expertise in Disaster Recovery solutions such as GDPS (Global Mirror & Metro Mirror).
Experience working in the z/OS USS environment including maintain ZFS filesystems and shell scripting.
Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, XML, JSON, and Ansible is advantageous.
Experience with zOSMF.

The Team
The Mainframe Operating System Support team is dedicated to building and enhancing Fidelity's mainframe platform, with stability as our guiding principle. As a Principal Operating Systems Programmer, you will be a key member of a dynamic onshore and offshore team, continuously improving our mainframe platform by keeping software up-to-date and implementing enhancements and features. You will have the opportunity to contribute innovative ideas to enhance our products, develop your skills on state-of-the-art mainframe systems, and learn new technologies and languages. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who thrive in a collaborative, iterative, and fast-paced environment.
