The Job:

As a Tool Room Maintenance Intern, you’ll be part of our Mission team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to:

  • Learn and assist with basic repairs on molds under supervision
  • Perform and support preventive maintenance of mold cavities and cores to ensure continuous production.
  • Assist with mold changes as required
  • Disassemble, assemble and clean all components involved in the mold repair process; learn to repair hot runner systems.
  • Use various measuring devices, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment to ensure precision and quality.
  • Receive training and operate milling machines, welders, EDM, CNC milling machines, manual and automatic grinders, polishing machines and related equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production and maintenance delivery deadlines.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities and tool usage is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business and operational needs.

  • Currently enrolled in a technical, vocational program (such Mechanical, Industrial, Advanced Manufacturing or related field)
  • High School diploma or equivalent (minimum); preference for students pursuing post-secondary education.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and general maintenance practices
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a clean and safe work environment
