Manager of Reporting and Analytics

JOB SUMMARYThe Manager of Reporting and Analytics is responsible for leading a team of data professionals in delivering high-quality, actionable insights through advanced analytics, reporting solutions, and data visualization. This role combines technical expertise in modern data platforms (including SQL, Power BI, Azure Data & Analytics, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Data Lake technologies) with strong leadership and people management skills. The ideal candidate will drive data strategy, ensure data integrity, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. TIME ALLOCATION

- Lead and manage a team of analysts, developers, and data engineers to deliver scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools.
- Oversee data integration and transformation processes using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security across all reporting platforms and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching and mentorship, and support career development for team members.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data and analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and optimization.
- Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and report/dashboard design.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Azure SQL).
- Experience with Databricks for data engineering and machine learning workflows.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience conducting performance reviews, setting goals, and managing team development plans.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices in data environments.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Experience with data governance frameworks and tools (e.g., Purview).
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts and their application in business analytics.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and its integration with the broader Azure ecosystem.
The position is based in our Richardson, TX or Memphis, TN office. Daily physical presence in the office is required for interaction with co-workers, attending meetings, and for collaboration on projects. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
