Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced z/OS Systems Programmer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in z/OS systems programming, security administration, performance monitoring, and mainframe system management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support and optimize z/OS environments, ensure system stability, and implement efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform z/OS Systems Programming tasks, including configuration, installation, and maintenance of z/OS operating environments.

• Manage JES2, z/OS Unix System Services (OMVS), and Storage Management Subsystem (SMS).

• Administer and support TSS (Top Secret Security), ensuring appropriate access control and security compliance.

• Monitor system performance and perform initial analysis of performance issues to provide solutions and optimizations.

• Write and maintain REXX scripts to automate system tasks and processes.

• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to configure and maintain TLS (certificates, SSL, RSA Keys, SFTP, FTPS) for secure communication.

• Utilize SMP/E for system modification and management of z/OS environments.

• Create and maintain system-level documentation, technical designs, and support artifacts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Informatica Power Exchange Administration .

• Working knowledge of z/OS Operation, z/OS Networking (VTAM, TCP/IP).

• Experience with automated job scheduling tools such as JOBTRAC , terminal emulators like BLUEZONE , and VTAM Session Manager Software ( VTAM/SWITCH ).

• Knowledge of performance and resource management tools such as RMF , SMF , WLM , and system resource serialization with GRS .

• Familiarity with data storage methods such as VSAM , and Time Sharing Option ( TSO ).

• Experience in configuration management tools like SCLM , including administration and configuration.

• Experience working with CPM for JOBTRAC for job control and automation management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in z/OS Systems Programming.

• Strong knowledge of JES2, OMVS, SMS, TSS (Top Secret Security), performance monitoring, and REXX scripting.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

• Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
