SAAS Functional Team Lead

The Journeyman Software as a Service (SAAS) Functional Team Lead provides hands-on leadership and support for SAAS solutions under the Project Lead, Logistics Information Systems (PL LIS). This position is responsible for managing a small team, ensuring operational readiness, and assisting in the optimization and performance of SAAS platforms to meet mission objectives.

Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead and supervise a team responsible for SAAS support, ensuring timely resolution of issues and completion of tasks. Provide guidance to team members on best practices for SAAS utilization and issue resolution. Monitor team performance and address any operational challenges.

System Maintenance and Support: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of SAAS platforms. Identify and troubleshoot system issues, escalating complex problems to senior leadership when necessary. Ensure compliance with DoD policies and procedures in system operations.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to validate SAAS functionality and address system requirements. Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring proper system utilization and knowledge transfer. Act as a liaison between the team and higher-level leadership to report on system performance and team activities.

Documentation and Process Improvement: Assist in developing and maintaining system documentation, including user guides, standard operating procedures, and training materials. Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Prepare and present reports on system performance, team activities, and project updates.

Education and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting or managing SAAS solutions.
  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent

Current and active Secret security clearance.
