Position: Warehouse Attendant
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm
Pay: $20/hr

What you’ll be contributing:
- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Receives shipments of plant supplies and parts, and prepares returns for shipment as needed.
- Uses a computer to receive shipments, print UPS labels, print labels for parts and look up parts.
- Maintains storeroom organization and cleanliness.
- Maintains paperwork and files for stores transactions.
- Completes in ongoing physical inventory counts as requested.
- Builds crates and/or pallets for shipping parts out.
- Assists in the completion of Purchasing Activities, including receiving quotations, basic negotiation, PO and Order Placement, on an as needed basis for the replenishment of maintenance and critical spare parts.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- High school graduation or equivalent is required
- Ability to use a forklift and various hand tools used in storeroom activities.
- Ability to communicate verbally with storeroom customers in a clear manner.
- Knowledge of and ability to use the computer equipment.
- Must have knowledge of mathematics and an understanding of accounting regarding departmental and operations charges.
- Must have decision making ability regarding priorities in storeroom transactions.
- General knowledge of mechanical and electrical products.
- The ability to communicate well with others.
- Must demonstrate an attitude and mindset towards innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Willingness to learn, training will be provided
- Analytical Aptitude and basic understanding of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) is preferred.
- Work requires a moderate amount of mobility throughout the storeroom that can most easily be performed by walking. This job will require lifting parts up to 25lbs.
What to expect in a cement environment:
Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
