In this role you will play a key role in supporting the Brand, Creative and Advertising team by designing multiple projects across various channels. You will collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality creative work that aligns with American Airlines' brand identity, ensuring consistency and innovation across all marketing and communications initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles and a passion for crafting visual solutions that resonate while adhering to best practices and leaning into innovation and trends.

• Design for multiple channels: Create engaging visuals for various marketing and communication channels, including digital, organic and paid media, print, and more. Ensuring each piece aligns with brand standards, business goals and campaign objectives.
• Creative collaboration: Collaborate with the Team Lead and cross-functional teams in brainstorming sessions to contribute fresh ideas, execute design concepts, and refine them through feedback and revisions, ensuring continuous improvement from initial ideas to final execution.
• Brand consistency: Ensure all designs adhere to American Airlines' brand guidelines and maintain consistency in visual identity across multiple projects.
• Support multiple projects: Manage multiple design requests simultaneously, working within timelines and budgets while delivering high-quality results that meet campaign goals and KPIs.
• Attention to detail: Create engaging designs that showcase a solid grasp of design fundamentals, typography, color theory, and layout principles.
• Maintain documentation: Help maintain the internal design library and project files, ensuring all creative work is properly organized and easily accessible.
• Stay current with trends: Lead the charge on the latest design and advertising trends, tools, and technologies. Help push the limits of creativity with innovative, groundbreaking ideas that redefine the standard and drive success.
• Assist in Presentations: Support in the preparation of design presentations, helping to communicate design concepts effectively to internal stakeholders.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field, or equivalent experience/training
- Mid-level art director or graphic designer with 3-6 years of experience in graphic design and art direction, preferably in an agency or internal creative team setting
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) Knowledge of Premier Pro, After Effects and Canva is a plus
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design styles and mediums, with an emphasis on advertising and marketing materials
- Ability to manage time and tasks effectively, ensuring all deadlines are met without sacrificing quality
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication, with the ability to present design ideas and collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy in design, with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback, while contributing to a positive team environment
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• Experience in digital design and working across both print and digital mediums
• Familiarity with advertising best practices, especially in the travel and hospitality industry
