Seeks an Instructor or Higher (Diagnostic Radiology)

Minimum Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Texas medical licensure, or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in diagnostic radiology or meets the prerequisites for application to the American Board of Radiologys Alternate Pathway for International Medical Graduates
• Training and experience in all imaging modalities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Board certification in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology for the rank of assistant professor or higher
• Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

Position Description:

• Provides clinical services and teaching of diagnostic radiology
• Interprets X-rays in all modalities of diagnostic radiology
• Mentors and instructs residents, fellows, and medical students in research projects, as requested or assigned by department chair
• Lectures and hold conferences and participates in related meetings and school functions
• Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
• Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
• Contributes to the community through academically related public service complementary to the institutional mission
• Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
• Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicines Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
• Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of Texas Tech Health El Paso
