Boiler Technician
Safety & Compliance:
* Adhere to OSHA, EPA, and ASME standards for boiler operation, safety, and environmental compliance.
* Conduct safety checks and ensure boiler room equipment meets industry standards.
* Respond to alarms and emergency shutdowns, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
* Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the facility's continuous improvement initiatives.
Process Optimization & Documentation:
* Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
* Monitor fuel consumption, steam usage, and efficiency metrics, recommending improvements when necessary.
* Assist in energy conservation initiatives by optimizing boiler efficiency and minimizing waste.
* Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure seamless steam supply for forging processes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or boiler operator certification preferred.
* Previous experience operating and maintaining high-pressure boilers in an industrial or manufacturing setting (forging industry experience is a plus).
Skills & Competencies:
* Basic mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation troubleshooting skills.
* Knowledge of safety procedures related to boiler operation, hazardous materials, and confined spaces.
* Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
