This is primarily a remote work position; however, the person chosen for this position must live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and be authorized to work within the United States.

Job Description

InfoDefense is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. The person hired into this position will assist with automating compliance checks, monitoring and responding to security events, integrating security, and developing secure infrastructure. 

This is a full-time, salaried, primarily remote work position . However, to be qualified, the candidate must reside within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The position involves a rotating on-call support schedule to address outages and security incidents outside of normal business hours, and travel on occasion.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, the candidate must be proficient in systems administration, Kubernetes, networking, and programming. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential. We are looking for someone with the desire and ability to learn quickly, a great attitude, good work ethic, and at least two years of information technology experience including the following:

• 2 years of experience administrating Debian or Fedora-based operating systems 


• 2 years Kubernetes


• 2 years of network administration
  


• Proficient in C and/or Python


• Proficient in database technologies such as Opensearch and SQL


• Proficiency in designing, diagramming, and architecting network


• Proficiency in ingesting logs from disparate sources and formats, such as SNMP, Prometheus, syslog, etc. 


• Experience with managing and leveraging REST-based APIs


• Degree from an accredited college or university

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of one or more scripting languages Bash, PowerShell, etc.


• Knowledge of Fortinet firewall technologies


• Experience managing Amazon Web Services


• Fundamental understanding of NIST SP 800-171, CMMC 2.0, or any other regulatory standards (HIPAA, SOX, PCI-DSS, etc).
  


• Knowledge of OS Architecture


• Knowledge of ASM/Malware Analysis
  


• Certifications (CISSP, Security +, CEH, CISA, CISM, Fortinet NSE4, Microsoft) and any other cyber security related certification.


• Cyber incident response experience
  


• Military service is a big plus
