Job Description

  • Advise clients on legal aspects of energy transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and project development.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and agreements related to energy projects.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for energy-related transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide strategic legal guidance on regulatory compliance and market trends.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and provide solutions to legal challenges in energy projects.
  • Support the development of innovative legal strategies to address client needs in the energy sector.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of energy laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders in the energy industry.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Energy Transactions Associate should have:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admittance, and in good standing, to the Texas State Bar.
  • Strong expertise in energy law and related legal frameworks.
  • Proven ability to handle complex energy transactions and contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to represent clients effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services in the professional services industry.
