RN - Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) | Permanent Role
Location: Dallas, TX, 75246
Shift: 12 HR Nights | 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
- Conduct detailed and accurate patient assessments to determine clinical needs and priorities.
- Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs, goals, and family input.
- Adapt care plans to achieve optimal outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Build professional, therapeutic relationships with patients and families to support recovery and education.
- Provide clear, compassionate communication and health education to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Collaborate with peers, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and ensure follow-up on delegated responsibilities.
- Uphold patient privacy and professional ethical standards.
- Participate in the mentorship and development of fellow team members.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts and community health initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of nursing standards, hospital policies, and state laws/regulations.
- Knowledge of clinical procedures and common medical conditions relevant to intermediate care.
- Familiarity with medications, side effects, and disease management strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to make sound clinical decisions and solve problems effectively.
- Commitment to safety, accuracy, and high-quality care.
- Computer proficiency, including use of EMR systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing) required.
- Current and active RN license in the state of Texas required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already certified).
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in an IMCU/PCU setting within a Level I or II trauma hospital required.
