Operational Buyer Opex/Capex
- Support the Manager in spend analysis, contract reviews, and category management.
- Propose actions and initiatives for the Tactical Procurement Plan (TPP) and annual budgeting.
- Manage RFQs, supplier selection, price negotiation, and on-time delivery.
- Execute purchases in compliance with tactical procurement procedures and standards.
- Coordinate all Sourcing & Procurement steps within the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
- Ensure accurate use of ERP systems to process requests, approvals, orders, and receipts.
- Assist with sourcing for higher-value purchases lacking a framework agreement.
- Conduct supplier selection through RFI/RFP, evaluation, and stakeholder alignment.
- Implement and ensure proper usage of procurement contracts.
- Monitor contract compliance, performance, and recommend modifications or terminations.
- Participate in supplier evaluations and performance improvement programs.
- Tier supplier base and contribute to the Supplier Management Program.
- Monitor and report on procurement KPIs (e.g. savings, on-time delivery, compliance).
- Support process optimization through data analysis and continuous improvement effort.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher vocational education in a relevant field.
- 2–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the process industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Solid understanding of contract law and hands-on buying experience.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Candidates must be located within 50 miles of Freeport, TX.
