Research Data Coordinator Neuro-Oncology

Responsibilities
Protocol Management
Manage research study requirements as defined by research protocols and clinical trials.
Coordinate protocol-related activities to ensure study objectives and timelines are met.
Collect patient and specimen samples required for research activities.
Courier specimens to designated repositories and research facilities.
Track patient and specimen samples submitted to biorepositories.
Maintain accurate documentation associated with specimen collection and tracking.
Support patient-facing activities related to clinical research participation.
Database Management
Abstract research information for population in study databases.
Maintain databases used for the collection and management of research data.
Monitor data quality, completeness, and accuracy.
Track externally reported adverse events associated with clinical trials.
Communicate adverse event information to appropriate research stakeholders.
Research Program Operation Maintenance
Establish systems for tracking research program operations and protocol activities.
Process and monitor research program workflows and study requirements.
Maintain oversight of protocol-related operations throughout the study lifecycle.
Participate in institutional compliance activities supporting clinical research.
Contribute to external compliance efforts required for clinical trials.
Support adherence to applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Liaison Collaborator
Serve as a liaison between research monitors and study teams.
Coordinate communication with clinical investigators and research investigators.
Collaborate with partnering institutions involved in research activities.
Interface with study sponsors regarding protocol and operational requirements.
Facilitate effective communication among internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure research activities are conducted in compliance with UT MD Anderson guidelines.

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Two years related experience. No experience required with preferred degree.
Preferred: Knowledge of research trials.
