JOB TITLE : Senior Seismic Processing Geophysicist

General Description :
The Senior Seismic Processing Geophysicist is responsible for executing in-house seismic processing projects, including advanced Full Waveform Inversion (FWI) applications, and providing on-site technical support and training to international clients. This role requires extensive international travel (approximately six months or more per year), primarily to China.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Independently execute seismic processing projects using in-house software and data, from raw data through final deliverables, including Full Waveform Inversion (FWI).
• Provide on-site technical support and professional training to international clients.
• Collaborate with clients to apply in-house seismic processing technologies to their projects.
• Deliver technical presentations to clients, peers, and management.
• Promote industry best practices, data quality standards, and workplace safety.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

• Expert-level knowledge of seismic processing, with strong emphasis on Full Waveform Inversion (FWI).
• Proven ability to independently manage complete seismic processing workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Client-focused mindset with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English (reading and writing required); proficiency in Chinese is a plus.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, LICENSES and EXPERIENCE:

• Master’s or PhD in Geophysics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related Geophysical subject from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience as a geophysicist in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods (approximately 6+ months per year).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
