SUPV Telecommunication Accounting
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the day-to-day Mobile Device Support team responsible for MACD (Moves, Adds, Changes and Deletions/Disconnects) phone and data services requests. Assess and resolves issues as they arise. Ensure services are delivered as ordered and completed on schedule. Procure wireless devices and services supporting corporate and personal liable devices. Manage the company's toll free numbers usage and billing.
- Establish and communicate expectations, delegate assignments, and set deadlines. Monitor workload and make adjustments; observe workers and provide guidance as well as kudos.
- Creates equitable work schedules to ensure available resources for services while being mindful of overtime expenses and requests for time off.
- Run work productivity reports; review and trend metrics. Collaborate with team and Management to understand issues, gap/missed opportunity, and agree upon future expectations. Implement and monitor improvements; apprise stakeholder on progress.
- Review vendor invoices and charge codes; collaborate and inform vendor of corrections. Prepare Telecommunication journal entries, reconcile and balance general ledger accounts, and research and correct discrepancies. Prepares month-end and year-end close documents.
- Gathers audit documentation for both operational and financial audits
- Collaborate among colleagues to resolve process, supply chain, billing, accounting, systems, and customer issues. Negotiate viable business solutions and implement.
- Establishes service level agreements (SLAs) and develops metrics. Monitor SLA metrics, identify trends, collaborate with team on root cause, research issues, and implement process enhancements.
- Identifies gaps and implements innovative solutions improving efficiencies. Maintains processes and procedures. Supports change initiatives, maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures.

Constructively address issues and provide tangible and appropriate feedback. Apply a proactive and collaborative management style in order to increase employee engagement and minimize turnover.
- Responsible for screening candidates (internal and external) and hiring or promoting a skilled and effective staff. Assesses staff's abilities recommending pay increases and career advancements.
- Ongoing trains or ensures staff is appropriately trained on processes, procedures, and controls to support changes.

MINIMUM Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
Experience
- At least four years' accounting experience with increasing responsibility.
- Experience supervising people directly or indirectly (project management) preferred

- Professional written and verbal communication skills; apply diplomacy, listening skills, and tact particularly when conversing with customers
- Ability to create clear reports and data visualizations to assist in decision-making and problem analysis

- Conversant in technical discipline acumen
- Proficient technical discipline software application skills; Proficient MS Office Suite skills
- Ability to work with and communicate with remote stakeholders
- Ability to manage a remote team
