Job DescriptionSika is looking for an experienced Sales Manager in the Dallas Fort-Worth area of TX, to join its growing insulatioin team. The ideal candidate will have residential sales experience calling on and managing large National Builders, Lumber Yard and 2 Step wholesaler management experience.
- They will manage the supply chain for building materials to builders, calling on Estimators and sales reps for lumber yards
- Manage preferred supplier of stocked material in the 2 step wholesale customers that supply Lumber Yards
- Need to have experience preparing, delivering and managing Builder rebate programs
- Preparing and delivering the value proposition of our building products. Vs alternatives to Builder purchasing and engineering departments
- Experience calling on building officials, educating them on solutions to meet code
- Actively Participate in Builder Associations on board, technical committee or other committees being a visible leader in the organizations
- Work as team member on national residential team, sharing information, ideas and strategizing on capturing share of national homebuilders in all regions
- Work in multifamily supply chain from Developers, to builders and their suppliers
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5-7 years of prior sales management experience with demonstrated success in leading a group of sales people to goal achievement.
- Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and use Microsoft Office Products (Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint.
- Functional knowledge of CRM (Customer Resource Management) system for use to manage sales force activities, customer contacts and follow-up.
- Leadership Skills - demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills through team building and advanced coaching skills.
- Demonstrated track record of success in building teams and meeting / exceeding regional sales goals.
- Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilize to position the features and benefits to customers.
- Travel 75% required
