Leadership Gifts Officer
Leadership Gifts Officer Location Lubbock, TX (South Overton area) : Major/Essential Functions The Leadership Gifts Officer is responsible for the management of a leadership annual giving portfolio of approximately 150 donors and prospective donors capable of making leadership level commitments ($1,000 or more) on an annual basis to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. This individual must be able to work independently and collaboratively as a team member and will work closely with colleagues in Donor Engagement, Alumni Engagement, and Annual Giving to ensure high-quality engagement of all annual leadership level donors. This position will focus on building direct relationships with new and lapsed donors who have been generous to TTUHSC. This position must work strategically with TTUHSC senior administrators, faculty, and staff to support university-wide fundraising priorities. This person must be able to travel up to 50% or more locally and nationally. The Leadership Gift Officer reports to the Director of Development. This position is based in Lubbock, TX. Work with TTU System Office and AVP of Institutional Advancement on a regular basis to identify new prospective leadership annual donors Manage a portfolio of approximately 150 leadership annual giving prospects and donors ($1,000 or more annually), including creating a comprehensive plan and strategy for each donor/prospect and execution of that plan Identifies, qualifies, cultivates, and solicits prospects toward an individual commitment of $1,000 or greater annually Partner with staff and faculty on donor engagement opportunities as appropriate Meets or exceeds annual fundraising goals Serve as TTUHSC ambassador and attend select events as TTUHSC representative as appropriate Collaborate with alumni engagement, and donor relations counterparts to ensure high quality engagement with all donors and prospective donors Embodies the Values Based Culture of TTUHSC by living out the University's core values of One Team, Kindhearted, Integrity, Visionary, and Beyond Service Follows TTUS and TTUHSC Operating, IT and Safety Policies. Complete all relevant training as required Travel as needed - up to 50% Occasional Duties Other duties and projects as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus one (1) year related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience equal to five (5) years Preferred Qualifications Preferred a minimum of three years fundraising or sales-related experience Good knowledge or ability to quickly obtain knowledge of all aspects of fundraising including annual giving, major giving, and planned giving Proficient in Microsoft Office platforms, primarily Word and Outlook Experience working in a fundraising/donor database Attention to detail Required Attachments Cover Letter, Resume / CV Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
