Fabricator

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Industrial Welder Fabricator- 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $25.39/hour + $1.20/hour shift differential per hour. The core hours at 2:30pm to 11:00pm. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you'll do:

• Set up, understand and proficiently operate all welding equipment.


• Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.


• ID and tag shop orders with the product. Retrieve/enter data into the system.


• Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.


• Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.


• Weld components based on print specifications.


• Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• A minimum of one (1) year MIG and TIG welding


• A High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution


• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Weld Certified


• Minimum of 2 years MIG/TIG Welding


• Minimum of one (1) year utilizing blueprints (AWS weld symbols) and using simple measuring tools


• Basic computer skills

Position Criteria:

• Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills.


• Working knowledge of weld operations, including MIG, TIG of stainless steel and/or aluminum


• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending


• Ability to stand for eight hours plus and perform repetitious tasks


• Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools


• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and close attention to detail


• Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product


• Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate-


• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays, as needed by the business


• Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high-noise areas)


• Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, and sparks.
