ANZ Governance & Risk Manager - Critical Infrastructure and OT Systems
Your impact
Role Purpose:
Provide senior professional judgment and leadership for governance, risk, and compliance activities supporting critical infrastructure and operational technology systems across the ANZ region.
This role owns OT cyber-risk and governance judgment within defined engagement areas, leads complex risk and governance initiatives, and produces defensible outputs that materially inform executive, regulatory, and client decisions. The position serves as a key interface between technical delivery teams, client leadership, and regulatory stakeholders, translating complex OT and cybersecurity considerations into actionable governance and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance and Risk Leadership
- Lead the development and maintenance of ANZ governance and risk frameworks for critical infrastructure and OT environments, aligned with New Zealand and regional regulatory expectations and mapped to Jacobs global standards.
- Own professional judgment for OT cyber-risk posture, priority setting, and governance design within client engagements.
Client and Executive Engagement
- Lead executive-level client interactions, framing OT and cyber risk in terms of operational resilience, safety, regulatory exposure, and business impact.
- Produce clear, defensible analysis suitable for board, executive, and regulator-facing discussions.
Engagement Delivery and Judgment Ownership
- Design and lead complex governance reviews, risk assessments, and advisory activities across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory contexts.
- Identify systemic governance and risk patterns rather than isolated technical issues.
Regional Coordination and Capability Building
- Coordinate cross-country ANZ delivery teams to support consistent governance approaches and risk posture across engagements.
- Mentor and guide regional staff in OT governance, risk judgment, and professional standards, building durable internal capability.
Practice Development
- Drive adoption of Jacobs global OT and cyber governance practices while tailoring approaches to ANZ regulatory, cultural, and operational conditions.
- Contribute to internal process development for risk reporting, governance assurance, and regulatory alignment across the region.
Here's what you'll need
This role requires advanced analytical, research, and professional writing capability to interpret regulation, synthesize ambiguous risk information, and produce defensible governance outputs for executive and regulatory audiences.
- Master’s degree in Public Policy, Risk Management, Cybersecurity Governance, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in governance, risk, compliance, or executive advisory roles.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with senior executive leadership, providing credible analysis and judgment.
- Experience managing cross-cultural teams and regional initiatives preferred.
- Familiarity with OT / SOCI concepts is a plus; deep technical expertise is not required but oversight capability is.
