Sr. Accountant with AP
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with management reporting.
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
- Review bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Review vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Manage vendor relationships, vendor master files, and invoice discrepancies.
- Oversee weekly ACH, wire, and check payment runs.
- Monitor AP aging and ensure timely payments while taking advantage of available discounts.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting and AP processes and internal controls.
Requirements include:
- 2+ years in Senior Accountant position with AP responsibilities and/or oversight
- Oil & gas industry experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and formulas.
- Experience with ERP system
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Supervisory experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
