Corporate Immigration Specialist

Our client is seeking an experienced Corporate Immigration Specialist to oversee and manage employment-based immigration programs that support a diverse and growing workforce. This highly visible role serves as the organization's internal subject matter expert on U.S. immigration matters, partnering closely with employees, leadership, outside legal counsel, and government agencies to ensure compliance while delivering an exceptional employee experience.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an immigration professional who thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment and enjoys balancing complex case management with strategic business support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the organization's primary resource for employment-based immigration matters, providing guidance to employees, managers, and business leaders on visa sponsorship, work authorization, and permanent residency processes.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of employment-based immigration cases, including nonimmigrant visa petitions, renewals, amendments, extensions, work authorization applications, and employment-based green card sponsorships.
  • Partner with outside immigration counsel to prepare, review, submit, and monitor immigration filings while ensuring timely completion of all required documentation.
  • Track visa expirations, employment authorization deadlines, travel requirements, and case milestones to ensure uninterrupted work authorization and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain confidential immigration records and documentation in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and record retention guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with federal immigration regulations, including I-9 requirements, E-Verify, employment eligibility verification, and other applicable immigration laws.
  • Conduct periodic audits of immigration files and employment authorization records to identify compliance risks and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Tax, Global Mobility, and business leadership to support hiring initiatives, employee transfers, and international assignments.
  • Evaluate immigration strategies and provide recommendations that support workforce planning, employee retention, and long-term business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain tracking systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor case status, sponsorship activity, upcoming deadlines, and key compliance metrics.
  • Stay current on changes to U.S. immigration laws, government policies, and regulatory requirements, advising leadership on potential business impacts and recommended actions.
  • Prepare employee communications, reference materials, and training resources to educate managers and employees on immigration processes and compliance obligations.
  • Support onboarding activities for international employees by ensuring all immigration documentation and employment authorization requirements are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve immigration processes, enhance the employee experience, reduce compliance risk, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience handling employment-based immigration matters, preferably as an immigration paralegal supporting a corporate environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. employment-based immigration laws, including nonimmigrant visas, PERM labor certifications, employment-based permanent residency, work authorization, and I-9 compliance.
  • Experience working directly with immigration attorneys, government agencies, and cross-functional corporate teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and case management skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple complex immigration matters simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with sound judgment and professionalism.

Why This Opportunity?

This role offers the opportunity to become a key contributor within a growing organization where your expertise will directly support talent acquisition, employee mobility, and compliance initiatives. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, help shape immigration strategy, and make a meaningful impact on the organization's ability to attract and retain top global talent.
