Interim Controller (CONTRACT) POST NUMBER: 485299
Hybrid (3 days/week) - Richardson, TX One of Vaco’s clients is looking for a strong hands-on Controller. They are looking for a process-focused Accountant that can bring ideas to the table, establish internal control and lead process improvement initiatives. Compensation: $70-$90/hr The Role:
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, billing, cash management, and month-end close
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Support preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting for management and corporate stakeholders
- Oversee and administer company 401(k) plan, including compliance, reporting, audits, and coordination with 3 rd party administrators
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll tax filings and payments (federal, state, and local)
- Oversee federal income tax
- Manage sales and use tax compliance, registrations, and audit support
Requirements:
- 7 years progressive accounting and finance experience
- Required bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- CPA nice to have.
- Experience in healthcare industry nice to have.
- $30-$150 M annual revenue range
- Systems –Netsuite
- Personality needed Strong communicator, efficient worker
