Art Director

Our Religious client is seeking an experienced Illustrator/Art Director to lead the design and execution of a world for their mascot. They're looking to find someone who can design a space to bridge a narrative universe and human engagement. Think: Who Framed Roger Rabbit or Mr. Rogers style storytelling where the worlds are combined.

This role is ideal for a designer who can think like a visual storyteller to develop a creative journey. This is a remote role, working project based (hours will fluctuate) for the next few months.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the visual strategy and creative direction for the development of a narrative world/environment.
• Conceptualize and develop creative concepts, storyboards, and visual treatments for web, print, and internal communications.
• Create layouts, artboards, and designs.
• Present creative concepts and final work to stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and articulate design rationale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional design experience ideally with a focus on illustration.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in illustration, storytelling, and narrative development.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Deep knowledge of layout design, typography, color theory, and composition.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills with experience working cross-functionally.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects, and attention to detail.
• Experience with motion graphics or animation is a plus.
