The Engineering Project Manager will lead the entire life cycle of an Engineering project from inception to closure. The PM will ensure that the project is delivered efficiently and effectively and will remain on time, within budget, and meet all expectations.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Assists with the management of the full engineering project lifecycle, from initial project planning phases through the completion of construction.
Ø Participates in meetings with engineers, planners, financial managers, architects, and all other business personnel to establish and maintain project deliverables.
Ø Coordinates project resources and tracks project progress against established timelines and schedules.
Ø Facilitates the selection, negotiation, and coordination of the work of vendors, contractors, or sub-contractors.
Ø Directs resource management and scheduling tasks in support of assigned projects.
Ø Tracks project progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators and prepares and delivers reports as needed.
Ø Working knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices.
Ø Knowledge of land development construction, construction materials and detailing.
Ø Project research and analysis
Ø Strong, analytical engineering skills
Ø Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ø Self-motivated
Ø Ability to multitask, think critically and pay attention to detail.
Ø Excels at working in a team environment.
Ø Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, MS Office. ArcGIS skills desirable.
Ø Skills to implement the integrated services approach. Comprehensive understanding of design, details, and construction drawing preparation including site layout, grading, erosion control and stormwater management.
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
v Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
v 8+ years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects
v Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager building new plants. Green field chemical plant experience is a plus.
v Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills.
v Ability to work as part of a team.
v Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
v The ability to lead multiple projects at once is mandatory.
