YOUR ROLE
The Litigation Paralegal, General Litigation provides litigation and legal support across a broad spectrum of uninsured litigation matters (e.g., employment litigation, commercial disputes) in the U.S. and Canada. Litigation Paralegal acts as a centralized legal resource, ensuring responsiveness to legal inquiries, compliance tracking, cross-border coordination, and departmental organization while serving as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Support uninsured litigation, including subpoenas, discovery requests, document review, and matter tracking.
- Collaborate with Legal Counsel, Labor & Employment and HR regarding employment claims and litigation.
- Manage outside counsel engagement, invoicing, accruals, and approvals for uninsured litigation.
- Coordinate internal execution workflows using DocuSign, SharePoint, and related platforms.
- Organize and maintain legal department document repositories and provide end-user support on internal systems.
- Conduct training sessions on litigation management tools and department processes
- Liaise with global head office (GHO), ensuring timely collaboration on coordinated assignments.
- Maintain high confidentiality and professional standards when interacting with executive and cross-functional teams.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education & Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and DocuSign.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Demonstrated ability to manage litigation matters independently and professionally
Experience
- 3–5 years' experience in a fast-paced legal environment, preferably in an international corporate setting.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with cross-border legal matters or multinational corporations.
Specialist Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and autonomous.
- Familiarity with legal databases, reporting tools, and litigation tracking systems.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to synthesize complex legal issues for cross-functional stakeholders.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
- Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams and external counsel.
- Professional demeanor.
- Active listener with a diplomatic and solution-oriented approach.
