Medical Assistant for Plastic Surgery Clinic
Medical Assistant for busy plastic surgery office - experience preferred.
We are professional, agile and customer-centric plastic surgery office with 4 busy plastic surgeons. Are you flexible, have a "do whatever it takes" attitude willing to jump in wherever you are needed while providing exceptional care to our patients?We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team of plastic surgery professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with patient care and have a "do whatever it takes" attitude to help fill the need of the practice. Each day may be different from helping run clinic, assist in office-procedures and post-op care and be willing to cross train and learn front office and surgery scheduling to help as a backup. The ideal candidate should have a passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, flexible and have a strong understanding of medical terminology. This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant to gain experience in a fast-paced and rewarding field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the plastic surgeon in pre- and post-operative care of patients.
- Assist the plastic surgeon in cosmetic consultations.
- Greet and prepare patients for their appointments.
- Assist with minor procedures such as suturing, bandaging, and dressing changes.
- Maintain patient records and document medical history.
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions on aftercare.
- Perform laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures.
- Learn other roles in the practice including but not limited to answering phones, scheduling appointments, surgery scheduling.
