We're seeking an intermediate level Electrical Engineer to be an important part of our San Antonio or Austin, Texas team! Join us and you’ll support projects such as: Commercial, Federal, Data Centers, Higher Education and other state of the art facilities. Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists with electrical design activities
- Supports project managers in developing scope, schedule, and meeting client expectations
- Accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks
- Effectively recognizes and communicates scope and design changes
- Produces single-line diagrams, installation details, electric room layouts, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting designs, power plans, breaker coordination studies, and Arc Flash / Short-Circuit Current studies
- Provides local, on-site field investigations and construction reviews

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Electrical Engineering (power)
- Knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Knowledge and application of other NFPA codes and industry standards
- Strong working knowledge of Revit
- Ability to lead design and mentor junior engineers
- Familiarity of design and construction specifications
- You will not now or in the future require sponsorship for an employment visa (examples: H-1B, L-1B, or other temporary visa status like OPT or F-1) to work for Jacobs in the U.S.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Professional Engineer License (PE)
- Working knowledge of electrical power analysis software such as SKM or ETAP
- Water, Commercial, higher education, and federal experience
Posted Salary Range: Minimum
95,500.00
Posted Salary Range: Upper
116,700.00

And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.
The base salary range for this position is $95,500.00 to $116,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
