The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Commercial Credit Analyst role in the Houston, TX market. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing analytical support to Commercial Lending Officers to ensure client service standards are met and loan documentation and credit presentations are following applicable standards, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

The position includes a salary of up to $55K and excellent benefits package.

Commercial Credit Analyst responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Bank’s lending activities by providing insightful and timely credit analysis of prospective and current borrowers, including interpretation of financial statements, collateral and cash flows.
• Interacting with loan officers, credit manager, other lending support staff, customers, accountants, and appraisers.
• Significant contact with commercial borrowers.
• Analyze financial data to determine the merits of loan requests.
• Spreading and analyzing financial statements utilizing spreading software.
• Recommend structure as well as identifying cross selling/referring opportunities of other services.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred; accounting/finance experience is beneficial. The appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Two or more years of credit analysis experience preferred.
• Agricultural credit analysis background a plus.
• Must possess attention to detail, accuracy in work performed, and can multi-task while maintaining focus.
• Excellent PC skills required; must demonstrate the ability to mentor/coach other team members while completing own work at a high level.
