Position Details :
CRANE 1 is seeking an experienced and fast-starting Director of Manufacturing to be responsible for overseeing four (4) new crane locations across the United States, with the potential for additional facilities in the near future. This role is crucial in harmonizing systems and processes across our production footprint, driving efficiency, ensuring quality, and maintaining on time delivery. The position will report directly to the Senior VP of New Crane Systems and often be a player/coach responsible for leading a safe, high-performing, customer-focused team. This is a demanding, 'hands-on', entrepreneurial position that requires a person with the ability to prioritize and complete a wide variety of management, operational, and sales-oriented activities. Crane 1 operates in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Familiarity with managing operations in a service-based, industrial maintenance and repair business is important. CRANE 1 has partnered with HHS Talent Solutions for the fulfillment of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the production teams across all facilities.
Process Harmonization: Develop and implement standardized systems and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across all production sites.
Efficiency Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
On-Time Delivery: Monitor production schedules and workflows to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
Facility Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of all production facilities, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the production teams.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Field Operations, to align production goals with overall business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management, with a proven track record of overseeing multiple facilities.
Skills:
Adept at leveraging concepts of Lean Manufacturing and 6S.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability:
A passion for providing top-notch customer service to our customers.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet our driving requirements.
Ability to travel.
