Job Overview:
The Automation Engineer will act as a critical bridge between development and product excellence, ensuring the codebase is functional, robust, scalable, and ready for real-world use. This role involves designing and implementing testing frameworks, collaborating with developers and product owners, and fostering a quality-first culture throughout the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Requirement Analysis and Design: Analyze processes, communicate with clients, determine test strategies, and contribute to technical design and quality assurance tasks.
• Design and Execute Test Cases: Define test scope, create user-friendly test cases, implement test frameworks, and execute planned test cases using tools like PostMan, SoapUI, AWS enablers, and more.
• Setting up Test Environment Benches: Configure test benches in lower environments to ensure functionality before production.
• Report Bugs to Developers: Document defects, estimate bug severity, and collaborate with developers for efficient resolution.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Manage defects, respond to queries, and participate in defect-related meetings to ensure timely resolution.

Automation Engineers:

• API Automation: Create and execute backend API tests, support production deployments, and collaborate with QA and Dev teams for debugging and testing.
• UI Automation: Develop and execute UI automation scripts, support weekly deployments, and address production issues using automation tools.
• Performance Engineering: Conduct load testing, analyze results, and collaborate with Dev teams to resolve performance issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience in connected vehicle/infotainment system validation (desired).
• Extensive experience with log collections for vehicle head units, communication systems, and mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
• Proficiency in dashboarding and documentation using Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with enterprise QA frameworks such as BDD and TDD.
• Strong problem-solving skills with knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
• Experience with agile/scrum and waterfall development cycles.
• Proficiency in API testing for microservices hosted on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Understanding of authentication types, SSL authentication, and MQTT (a plus).
• Experience in in-car network protocol testing (CAN, MOST) is a plus.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in relevant fields.

Pay Range: $55 - $60

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
