Technical Services Admin Aide PT Location Administrative Support - Police Work Status Part Time

SALARY: $15.65 - 19.56 Hourly USD

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Ability to set-up specific divisional records and files of documents involving hard copies and process for ready access to districube copies of various documents to appropriate personnel. 2. Ability to process incoming/outgoing mail and supplies for the Crime Analysis Unit (CAU). 3. Ability to type letters, memos, reports and other material of a routine nature from longhand and/or typed copy. 4. Ability to answer and follow-up on routine inter-office customer inquiries through oral and written form. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Ability to serve as a scheduling/timekeeper for the CAU and Technical Services Section. 2. Ability to assist with CAU case review, archiving of bulletins/reports. 3. Ability to review and email routine reports and documents to other divisions and sections in the department. 4. Ability to maintain calendar appointments. 5. Ability to assist with Open Records Requests (ORRs).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Knowledge of modern office methods, procedures, and equipment. Knowledge of proper English, including spelling and punctuation. Skill in Microsoft Office Software. Skill in alpha and/or numeric filing. Skill in typing 35-40 words per minute. Skill in communicating with other city employees and the public by oral and written means. Ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. Ability to perform a variety of physical skills including, but not limited to seeing, sorting, holding, filing, writing, and typing. Ability to operate a variety of office equipment including, but not limited to a personal computer, laptop, printer, telephone, calculator, copier, fax machine, scanner, and paper shredder. Ability to adhere to work of a confidential nature and pass a background check.

Qualifying Education and Experience: A high school education, with some college, preferably with multiple semesters of Accounting, Business, Criminal Justice, Criminology, or other Behavioral Sciences related courses. Plus at least one year clerical experience.
