Software Packaging Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software packages based on client requirements.
- Conduct thorough testing of software packages and document results.
- Provide troubleshooting and guidance to global customers via email and video calls.
- Address customer-specific software and OS-related concerns.
- Maintain precise documentation within ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Freshdesk.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage escalations and tackle cross-functional challenges.
- Independently handle workload and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Enhance packaging standards, security protocols, and internal tools.
- Participate in continuous learning initiatives and share best practices with the team.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software packaging or application deployment.
- Proficiency in tools like Orca, MSI, ODT, Admin Studio, Wise Script, and PowerShell App Deploy Toolkit.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as PowerShell, AutoIt, Visual Basic, or Batch.
- Deep knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and endpoint configuration.
- Familiarity with deployment and endpoint management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, Endpoint Central, Azure, Ivanti).
- Experience with OSD processes, drivers, and task sequences.
- Understanding of third-party patching and update services (WSUS, SUP, etc.).
- Exceptional attention to detail and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication, time management, and customer support skills.
- Knowledge of security best practices for software packaging and deployment.
- Experience using version control tools like GitHub (preferred)
