Energy Marshal - Construction

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Energy Marshal looking to lead hazardous energy isolation, LOTO compliance, and safe energization activities on a large-scale data center construction site in Hutto, Texas. The role serves as the authority on energy safety, ensuring safe work practices and compliance across all mission-critical construction activities.

Responsibilities:
- Manage electrical room access permits and electrical room attendance
- Ensure compliance with safe work practices during energization and isolation activities
- Verify the commissioning plan and review quality reports
- Complete pre-energization inspections
- Own and manage the LOTO program on site
- Review and audit energy isolation procedures to ensure safety and efficiency
- Act as the subject matter expert for energy isolation practices and provide guidance to teams
- Attend daily and weekly High Risk Activity and Job Hazard Analysis meetings
- Partner with project teams to identify and implement continuous improvement strategies
- Communicate complex technical solutions and energy-related concepts to both engineers and non-engineers
- Audit site practices against established standards as part of the safety assurance role
- Interpret line drawings and system redundancies to ensure LOTO systems are designed and implemented effectively
- Serve as an independent authority for stopping all unsafe work practices regarding energy isolation
Skills/Must Have:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in energy isolation, safety or a related field
- 7+ years of commercial construction experience preferred
- NFPA 70E Certification required
- Experience with data center construction and commissioning standards and practices
- Strong knowledge of LOTO programs and energy isolation procedures
- Ability to interpret line drawings and system redundancies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a diverse audience
- Proficiency in auditing site practices against written standards
- Familiarity with multiple energy sources in data centers with emphasis on electrical systems
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Salary:
- $120,000 - $150,000 Base Per Annum
