Bartender/Barista

Summary:

Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for
our guests. Reports to bar manager.

Compensation:

• Job Type: Part-time
• Starting at $3 per hour plus tips

Requirements:

• TABC certified and Food-handlers certificate (will provide certification training upon hire)
• Availability to work between 12 and 28 hours a week (2-4 shifts)
• Must have weekend availability
• Possess a background in or willingness to learn more about beer, wine, and spirits
• Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
• Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
• Possess a background in or willingness to learn more about coffee, milk steaming, and latte art
• Have working knowledge of coffee, milk steaming, and latte art
• Be at least 21 years of age.

Duties:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant’s standard drink recipes.
• Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks, and appetizers for bar patrons.
• Work as barista/bartender as needed
• Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
• Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
• Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
• Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
• Practice advanced latte art in downtime
• Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
• Quickly serve customers without sacrificing quality
• Record drink orders accurately and immediately input them in POS
