As a Heart of House Team Member, you will prepare and cook food to order, following recipes and presentation standards. You’ll play a key part in delivering a memorable dining experience, while maintaining a top-notch kitchen environment. Get ready to bring your passion for food to life!
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare menu items following SMG recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food preparation procedures are consistently followed.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper food service.
- Assist with kitchen setup and food preparation for shifts as needed.
- Support inventory management and track food supplies.
- Adhere to all sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and kitchen areas.
- Stay updated on new menu items and dishes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid Food Handler Certification required.
- At least 1 year of previous hospitality experience is preferred.
- Experience with large-scale food preparation is preferred.
- Strong cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal or written).
- Must maintain a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (6 to 9 hours).
- Ability to frequently bend, kneel, reach or twist.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Adherence to proper work attire standards and personal hygiene.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
