- ︎ Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of vehicle multimedia architecture, including Head Unit, Navigation, Voice Assistant, Media, SiriusXM (SXM), Connected Audio, and related systems.
- Lead multimedia product development throughout planning, development, launch, quality assurance, and release phases.
- Coordinate vehicle milestones and software release schedules with stakeholders, including collaboration with headquarters in Japan.
- Define project development scope for the North American region considering budget, resources, capabilities, and project timelines.
- Manage suppliers to ensure schedule alignment and mitigate project risks.
- Collaborate with Program Managers and Product Owners to assess technical risks and support project decision-making.
- Triage complex in-market issues across multiple domains by conducting technical investigations, specification reviews, user impact analysis, and system architecture evaluations.
- Work closely with quality assurance and manufacturing teams to align vehicle milestones and develop countermeasure plans for identified risks.
- Drive communication and collaboration among software, firmware, testing, design, manufacturing, and cross-functional engineering teams.

- Excellent technical knowledge of both multimedia hardware and software architecture.
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions and drive issue resolution.
- Strong supplier management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Excellent presentation and executive reporting abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- ︎ Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in vehicle multimedia system development.
- Strong understanding of automotive multimedia hardware and software stacks.
- Experience leading cross-functional development projects.
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with software, firmware, testing, manufacturing, and product development teams.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Executive reporting experience.
- Business-level Japanese reading and writing skills are a strong plus (not required).
