Power Generation/Electrical Engineer
Join a dynamic engineering team in Houston, TX as a Power Generation/Electrical Engineer, supporting the operations, maintenance, and optimization of mobile power generation systems. This full-time role is integral to ensuring reliable, efficient, and environmentally compliant energy production. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to innovative projects, and play a key role in the ongoing success of power generation operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance of power generation equipment, including turbines, transformers, and switchgear.
- Assist in the design and commissioning of new power generation projects.
- Conduct technical assessments and root cause analyses to resolve operational issues.
- Generate, review, and modify electrical drawings such as single-line diagrams and manufacturer drawings.
- Support both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, including planning outages and inspecting equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements at state and federal levels.
- Assist in developing technical documentation and procedures.
- Collaborate with operations, safety, and engineering teams to achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Power Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in power generation.
- Strong understanding of power generation, electrical systems, and control systems.
- Experience with mobile power generation systems preferred.
