Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas (or eligibility upon start)
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy best practices
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to tailor interventions for diverse student needs across K-12
- Flexibility to adapt to changing caseload requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate student needs to develop personalized therapy plans
- Serve as an active member of the interdisciplinary educational team
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Consult with teachers and parents, offering strategies for classroom and home success
- Contribute to planning and IEP meetings as required
- Participate in professional development and training as available
This contract runs from August 12, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours (8:00am – 4:00pm). The caseload will be discussed during the interview, covering a range of K-12 students, ensuring you have a diverse and enriching professional experience. You’ll have direct access to school support and timely interview scheduling, as the district is eager to connect with passionate candidates.
