Office and Project Coordinator

Responsibilities: Coordinates responsibilities and tasks for the Campus Planning and Support Services Division, comprised of Campus Construction, Facility Operations and Food Services, Golf Facilities Maintenance, Physical Plant, Safety, and University Police. Provides comprehensive administrative support to include managing phone calls, greeting and directing visitors, researching and drafting reports and correspondence, coordinating requisitions and reconciling expenditures, scheduling and facilitating time management, making travel arrangements, supervising student workers, and managing special projects in direct support of the Vice President. Assists Campus Planning and Support Services staff with coordination of various university construction projects. Interacts with contractors and consultants on new construction and renovation projects. Coordinates project documentation, including bid packages, insurance information, pay requests, and warranties. Supports other staff and projects as assigned. Minimum Requirements: - A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years in an administrative, secretarial, or general office role is required. Experience supporting an administrative-level manager is preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years in project coordination is required, to include budget tracking, requisition systems, and accounting. Experience in a higher education environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and spelling is required.
- Experience with construction/architectural/engineering terminology is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, databases, spreadsheets, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required. Experience with project management systems is preferred.
- A minimum of 55 wpm typing speed is required.
- Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required.
- Exceptional time management and detail-orientated skills are required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
