Golf Course Pro Shop Manager
Summary
Working under close supervision, this position performs necessary activities to serve customers, maintain the sales area and manage the pro shop in a positive and professional manner. This position handles all financial transactions, maintains inventory and supervision of pro shop staff to attain a positive sales growth while maintaining excellent customer relations with golf course patrons.Qualifications
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has supervisory responsibility.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing including use of good grammar
- Must have polished and proven people skills with a focus of being able to interact well with a diverse population, provide excellent customer service, ability to diffuse conflict situations, and problem resolution
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, listen to their needs and provide guidance in the proper recommendations to ensure a top-level experience at the golf course.
- Basic math and cash and credit card processing skills
- Proficient listening skills
- Good time management skills
- Ability to effectively supervise personnel
- Must have the ability to maintain positive working relationships with fellow employees and customers
- Must demonstrate excellent teamwork skills
- Must be detailed oriented
- Proven ability to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be flexible and adaptable to change
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of customer service experience, preferably in a golf/hospitality/service/leisure entertainment industry.
- Knowledge of recreational operations and golf course maintenance highly preferred
- Prefer at least one year of supervisory experience.
- Valid Texas Driver's license with good driving record required.
- Work is performed in a climate controlled office environment.
- Computer, cash register, golf equipment, office machines.
