Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of manual labor tasks in landscape maintenance, irrigation, and landscape construction projects
• Prepare surfaces for planting, including manual and machinery work
• Maintain a clean and safe job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the area each day
• Handle and store materials appropriately
• Load and unload trucks, and transport materials as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and report any incidents or hazards
• Operate power mowers, gas-powered edgers/trimmers, and blowers to cut turf, trim, and edge landscapes
• Prune shrubs and low trees to improve shape, growth, or remove damaged branches
• Plant and maintain flower beds, trees, and ornamental plants
• Use edgers and line trimmers safely along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, buildings, fences, and other hardscapes
• Pick up trash and clear organic debris before mowing; mulch leaves and organic matter during mowing
• Perform weeding by hand or with appropriate tools
• Maintain a polite, friendly, and responsive demeanor with guests and customers
• Communicate any issues to the foreman, safety director, or HR manager
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Work on Saturdays as needed for rain makeup days

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• At least 6 months of relevant experience in landscaping or a similar field
• Valid driver's license required
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
