Location: Northeast Houston, TX
Pay: $18.00 per hour | Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Training: One week of paid Day Shift training before transitioning to Night Shift
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Openwork is hiring Panel Builders for a leading manufacturer of steel and aluminum grating products in Northeast Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or production experience who enjoy hands-on work and want to build a long-term career.

This role is physically demanding and ideal for someone who enjoys staying active throughout the shift while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do:

• Assemble steel and aluminum grating panels according to production specifications.
• Position and align steel bars and rods for accurate panel assembly.
• Move, lift, and handle steel rods and materials throughout the shift.
• Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Perform quality inspections during the assembly process.
• Assist with loading completed panels into a 24-foot press for final assembly.
• Follow work orders, production schedules, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, machine operation, or production experience required.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Experience using hand tools and measuring devices preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including frequently lifting, moving, and positioning steel rods and materials throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in an industrial manufacturing environment for 10-hour shifts.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.
• Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety.
