Accounting Controller, Medical Office - Immediate Hire

Contingent Assets is looking for an Accounting Controller for a Medical Office. This is a critical role in managing all financial operations while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position oversees a large accounting team and focuses on internal operations, strategic planning, and comprehensive financial management tailored to the unique needs of a medical office environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage financial reporting and ensure accuracy and compliance
- Oversee budget management, forecasting, and expense monitoring
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Supervise a large accounting team of 10+ members
- Handle month-end close and cash flow management
- Coordinate audits and maintain internal controls
- Monitor financial operations specific to medical office needs, including medical records management
- Ability to automate processes, invoicing, banking and month end close
- Confient in working with senior leadership and team members
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Knowledge of GAAP compliance and internal controls
- Experience managing accounts payable/receivable and payroll
- Background in medical office finance
- Strong attention to detail and leadership skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Sage Intact, Microsoft Copilot, MS 365
